What is homelessness? Homeless is defined as unable to maintain a fixed shelter for themselves. It is rare that a person would become homeless for just one reason. However, poverty is a common thread among nearly everyone who experiences homelessness. Whether the reason is situational, either like outstanding medical expenses or generational such as coming from a poor family living in an already impoverished area, falling below the poverty line makes a household vulnerable to becoming homeless. As more people become poor, more people become increasingly at risk of homelessness.
There are some causes for homelessness. For example, Unavailability of employment opportunities, poverty, caused by many factors including unemployment and underemployment,
lack of accessible healthcare, people who have some kind of chronic and weakening disease but cannot get healthcare either because they don't have money to afford it or because the government will not give it to them are simply too weak to go and work every day, abuse by government or by other people with power, war or armed conflict, natural disasters, mental disorder, where mental health services are unavailable or difficult to access or as a result of deinstitutionalization, disability, especially where disability services are non-existent or poor performing, social exclusion, including because of sexual orientation and gender identity, substance abuse, domestic violence, relationship breakdown, particularly in relation to young people and their parents, disasters, including but not limited to earthquakes and hurricanes, forced eviction such as people lose their homes by government order to make way for newer upscale high rise buildings, roadways, and other governmental needs, and the last one, the compensation may be minimal, in which case the former occupants cannot find appropriate new housing and become homeless.
Many homeless keep all their possessions with them because they have no access to storage. There was also the reality of the "bag" people, the shopping cart people, and the soda can collectors ,known as binners or dumpster divers who sort through garbage to find items to sell, trade and eat. These people carry around all of their possessions with them all the time because they have no place to store them. If they had no access to or capability to get to a shelter and possible bathing, or access to toilets and laundry facilities, their hygiene was lacking. This again created social tensions in public places.
There are many ways that homeless people survive on the streets. Hunger is the perfect cure for vanity and pride. Homeless people have three major issues: Hunger, Shelter and Safety.
Eating from garage cans or digging in dumpsters behind fast-food restaurant.Restaurant or grocery stores is probably the most common hunger mitigation strategy. Sleep under park benches, card board for mattress. Use the seat above as a framework like a tent a put some waterproof covering on top of the seat to retain heat, and protect from the elements. Tree, can be used as simple wig-wam with proper materials. Sometimes they dig a earth sleeping bag and earth blanket too if possible.
Not just other homeless people, but non-homeless people who prey on the weak. The will either form groups or small communities, stick together at least in pairs, or even collect a stray dog to serve as a companion and alert them to harm.
Being homeless is a reality, and it is not just hobo's and bums on the street. The next time you see a homeless person, ask yourself at what point would you eat from a garbage can. Hunger does not play favorites, and your whole life will change perspective if you ever reach that point. Stay focused and you will survive.
My conclusion here, don't look at others of what they have and you don't have. Life is beautiful, do not compare yourself with others, then you will be living happily and safisfy. Don't let others judge you in anyway. Also, don't abuse them either. Homeless people actually they do not prefer to this kind of life if they have choices, we must trying to think at their situation and what is their feeling either. Trying to understand their feelings and not to just simply make joke and laugh at them. For life tips, do not judge yourself in thought, mind, or feelings, of your past, present or future.
